Sweetman, Burke & Sinker is a medium-sized law firm in the heart of Ealing, West London. We were established in 1995 with a commitment to giving quality, cost- effective advice to people in our local community and beyond. This is still our aim today.

Peter Sweetman

Peter Sweetman

Peter is the Senior Partner of Sweetman Burke and Sinker. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1987 and has over twenty years of general civil litigation experience. More recently he has specialised in housing disputes, homelessness and financial disputes between unmarried partners. He also undertakes contested probate litigation. Peter is the head of our Housing Department. He advises and represents clients facing possession proceedings or homelessness, he also represents tenants facing illegal eviction, harassment or having to live in sub-standard conditions. Peter is a member of the Housing Law Practitioners Association and a voluntary legal adviser at Brentford County Court.

Sara Sinker

Sara Sinker

Sara Sinker is a founder member of Sweetman Burke and Sinker. She has been a Solicitor since 1982. She is the head of the Property/Conveyancing Department. She specialises in residential conveyancing and has over twenty years experience in that field. She has particular expertise in shared ownership conveyancing and is on the panels for most local Housing Associations that are part of this Scheme.

Jonathan Koffmann

Jonathan Koffman

Jonathan qualified as a Solicitor in 1997 and is a Partner in Sweetman Burke and Sinker. He specialises in matrimonial and criminal law. As far as matrimonial work is concerned, Jonathan deals with divorces, financial settlements and disputes about money and children. Jonathan is the head of our Criminal Law Department. He ensures his clients are fully advised and represented throughout the criminal process starting with attendance at Police Station interviews and moving on to representation at the Magistrates Court, Crown Court and on appeal, if necessary. Jonathan is a member of Resolution [formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association]. He is also a member of the Criminal Law Solicitors Association.

Gillie Lizra

Gillie qualified as a solicitor in 1990. She is a partner in Sweetman Burke and Sinker specialising in matrimonial law. Gillie deals with all aspects of matrimonial law including divorce, financial matters, private children matters, to include residence and contact, and all aspects of domestic violence and injunction work. Gillie is the supervisor of the family law department. She has been with the firm for nearly four years. She is a member of Resolution (which used to be the Solicitor’s Family Law Association), she is on the panel of the Family Law Association and a founder member of the Ealing Domestic Violence Forum.
